Dr. Sohail Masood
Chairman Board - PTC
Leader in Home Infusion Therapy

Dr Sohail Masood is a distinguished figure in the fields of medicine, business, and social advocacy. His journey from humble beginnings to becoming a prominent leader in the healthcare industry is a testament to his relentless pursuit of excellence, integrity, and dedication to community service. Dr. Masood is driven by a passion for learning and a determination to succeed.

He pursued his early education in Pakistan, attending Lahore Islamia College before moving to the United States for higher education. In the U.S., Dr. Masood attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1988. He further honed his skills by completing a Pharmacy Residency at Brooklyn Brookdale Hospital in New York in 1989.
Dr. Sohail Masood’s career is distinguished by groundbreaking achievements in intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy. In the early 1990s, when IVIG was not widely recognized for treating neuromuscular disorders, he dedicated himself to educating physicians and insurance companies about its benefits. In 1997, when Medicare denied coverage for IVIG, he took a significant financial risk by providing free medications for six months. His lobbying efforts, supported by Senator Boxer’s office, led to Medicare reversing its decision and approving IVIG for IDP patients.
Dr. Masood’s entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of several successful healthcare companies. He initially started Ultra Care, which evolved into Crescent Health and later became Kaaba Fusion. Kaaba Fusion, under his leadership, grew from a single pharmacy to 28 locations across the United States, employing over a thousand staff members including pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. In 2007, Dr. Masood sold MAAS Medical to Baxter International, further solidifying his
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Masood is deeply committed to social causes. He is known for his generosity and unwavering support for various community initiatives. Organizations such as Care America, ICNA Mosques, and numerous political and social groups have benefited from his philanthropy. He has also played a significant role in supporting families and individuals in need, both in the U.S. and Pakistan.
Dr. Masood’s contributions extend to the academic and research domains as well. He sponsored a major study on the use of IVIG at the National Institute of Health (NIH), demonstrating his commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving treatment outcomes.
Dr. Sohail Masood holds several prestigious positions and affiliations, including being a member of the National Home Infusion Association, Chairman of TV Pakistan since 2001, Director of the Council of Pakistan American Affairs (COPAA) since 2001, an Emirates Board Member for Lomond (Down Syndrome Research), and an Advisory Board Member of the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Society.
His legacy is one of perseverance, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others.

Najeeb U. Ghauri
President and Co-Chair - PTC

Najeeb U. Ghauri, a Pakistani-born US national residing in California, has a career spanning over 22 years marked by significant academic, corporate, and entrepreneurial achievements.

He held senior divisional roles in Fortune 500 companies like Unilever and Atlantic Richfield Corporation (ARCO) before embarking on his most challenging venture in 1997. Ghauri founded Mirage Holdings, Inc., initially a small holding company, which he transformed into NetSol Technologies, the most successful IT company in Pakistan. By 1999, he successfully moved NetSol to the NASDAQ stock exchange and expanded the business globally through strategic acquisitions. Under his leadership, NetSol became the first US-based Pakistani company to be publicly listed in the US, raising millions of dollars and investing heavily in state-of-the-art infrastructure and talent in Pakistan. Despite the dot-com crash, market sell-off, and other significant challenges, Ghauri led NetSol to survive and thrive, demonstrating his dynamic and versatile leadership. Waqar Ali Khan

Media Specialist and Community Advocate

Waqar Ali Khan is a seasoned journalist and prominent figure in the Pakistani-American community, currently focusing on technology sectors such as EV charging stations, point of sales systems, cyber security, and healthcare media.

He is the founder and CEO of OPTV Global and the Pak Am Tech Council and serves as chairman of the Pakistan American Chamber of Commerce, where he spearheads initiatives to establish a tech hub in Pakistan. Waqar is best known for producing, directing, and anchoring the long-running show “Safeer-e Pakistan” on GEO TV, one of the most reputable programs in the media industry for over 30 years.

Waqar’s journalistic career includes significant contributions to the Jang Group and participation in the pioneering team for Saudi Arabia’s first English daily, Arab News. He established a weekly magazine, worked on special projects with the LA Times, and contributed to the Gulf Economist. He has produced 23 country economic reports and pioneered single product expos in Pakistan, particularly for the textile, garment, and ceramic industries.

He has earned the highest award from APPNA and served as president of the American Pakistani Sheriff’s Advisory Council and the American Pakistani COVID Council. He is the founder and chief patron of the Grand Alliance and has organized Pakistan’s first parade three times. He has conducted over 5000 reports and interviews with world leaders and businessmen, earning numerous awards and recognition from ambassadors and consuls general. A hobby oil painter and national hockey player, Waqar received awards from Saudi Arabia’s King Faisal and President Ahmed Sukarno of Indonesia. His upcoming book, “The Most Influential Pakistani,” is a 700-page work soon to be published.

Dr. Sana U Khan, PhD.

Chairman Expert MRI

Dr. Sana U. Khan, M.D., Ph.D., is a distinguished radiologist and neurophysiologist affiliated with Expert MRI, which operates diagnostic imaging offices throughout Southern California. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UC Irvine, Dr. Khan received his medical training at UCLA Medical School. 

His extensive career encompasses roles as a researcher, teacher, and entrepreneur. He has built advanced medical diagnostic centers nationally, focusing on the accurate diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries using the Upright, Kinetic MRI. Additionally, Dr. Khan brings significant expertise in the medico-legal aspects of industrial injuries and sports medicine imaging.

Dr. Khan’s professional journey includes notable leadership positions such as Chief Medical Officer at Vital Imaging from 2009 to 2012, where he oversaw diagnostic imaging centers specializing in advanced modalities using the Fonar Upright Multi-Positional MRI. He also served as Chairman and Co-founder of True View Radiology Centers, a network of imaging and neurodiagnostic centers specializing in industrial injury, from 2002 to 2004. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Khan has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biopsychology at The Union Institute Graduate College. His residency in diagnostic radiology was completed at UC Irvine from 1994 to 1998, further solidifying his expertise in the field.

Dr. Hafiz ur Rehman

Plasma Physicist and Technical Leader

Dr. Hafiz ur Rehman is the President of MIFTI, where he oversees all technical and administrative affairs. He holds a Ph.D. in Plasma and High-Temperature Physics from Ruhr University Bochum,

with research focused on turbulence and transport in hot plasmas, and another Ph.D. from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. Dr. Rehman has made significant contributions to the field of plasma physics, notably achieving breakthrough fusion power test results at the L3 Harris Lab in San Leandro, California, for MIFTI, a company invested in by US Nuclear Corp.

Dr. Rehman’s career includes eight years as Vice President of GTT Inc. in Riverside, CA, where he managed marketing, Oracle implementation, and international sourcing, and developed an online store. Prior to that, he spent 14 years as a research scientist at the University of California, Riverside, leading the space simulation lab and conducting research in space plasma physics, beam propagation, and dense plasmas. He also supervised graduate students and taught physics courses. His expertise spans manufacturing, product development, and advanced research in plasma physics.

Mukhtiar Shaikh
Senior Distinguished Engineer at Palo Alto Networks

Mukhtiar Shaikh, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a seasoned technology executive specializing in network deployments for Fortune 500 companies. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University.

With a focus on MPLS, BGP, SD-WAN, and NFV technologies, Mukhtiar has a track record of influencing cutting-edge solutions and holds several patents. At Palo Alto Networks, he bridges innovation with practical application, driving technological advancements in complex enterprise and service provider networks.

Ali Noman Khan
Founder & CEO of Crescent Cyber and Field CISO at ReversingLabs

Ali Noman Khan has 20 years of experience in Enterprise Technology, having worked for Fortune 500 companies such as PwC, UBS, Wells Fargo, Pfizer, HBO, and TimeWarner. He graduated from Baruch College in 2005 with a BBA in Finance and a minor in Political Science and holds an MBA in Information Technology.

Ali is the Founder & CEO of Crescent Cyber and a Field CISO at ReversingLabs, a software supply chain security and threat intelligence organization. He specializes in cyber risk management, helping CISOs build security operation centers and cyber fusion centers with a focus on detection engineering, threat hunting, and AI-driven cyber defense automation.

Formerly, Ali served as CTO of FS-ISAC, Director of Cyber Risk at Conquest Cyber, and Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. He has led product management for Soltra, contributing to the development of the STIX/TAXII protocol.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ali is on the advisory board of seven cybersecurity startups and has acted as a vCISO for numerous SMBs and critical infrastructure industries.

Nasir Javed
Technology Entrepreneur and Innovator

Nasir Javed is the founder, President, and CEO of Princeton Technology, Inc., a company specializing in the design, manufacture, and distribution of SSDs and memory products. With over 35 years of experience in the technology industry, Nasir has a proven track record in SSD product planning, design, and international marketing.

Nasir’s leadership extends beyond his company; he has served as Chairman of IEEE and is a founding charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Southern California. He has also been an influential advisor and board member for several organizations.

His educational background includes a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, an MBA in Business Strategy from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and additional studies at The University of Texas at Austin and Burn Hall School in Abbottabad. Nasir Javed specializes in computer hardware, robots, and memory storage, with a strong emphasis on corporate and technical management, international sales, and marketing. Dr. Asif Ansari

Visionary Technology Executive

Asif Ansari is a distinguished technology executive, corporate strategist, and entrepreneur with over three decades of experience. He is the founder, President, and Chief Technology Officer of Hyera Inc., where he leads the development of advanced biomass thermochemical conversion technologies. 

Throughout his career, Asif has pioneered innovations in cleantech, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing, establishing multiple successful companies. Notably, he led the development of the Lunar Prospector Spacecraft, which saved NASA $21.8 billion and was the first to discover ice on the moon. He has also made significant contributions to rural electrification in Africa and renewable energy policies worldwide. Asif has held advisory roles, including serving on President Obama’s Federal Renewable Energy Advisory Committee and providing guidance to the Kuwait Investment Authority. He has founded and led several other successful ventures, including Omni Systems, eSolar Inc., Morgan Solar, Kinetic RES, and Sundam Energy Inc. Asif’s educational background includes an M.S. and PhD coursework in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from N.E.D. University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. His work is recognized through numerous patents and publications in the field of heat transfer and renewable energy technologies.

Syed Husain
Sr Tech. Lead Supplier Quality Engineer at Honeywell

Syed Husain is a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in supplier quality engineering, currently serving as the Tech. Lead Supplier Quality Engineer at Honeywell. In this role, which he has held since November 2022, Syed oversees the Air & Thermal Group and leads failure analysis efforts, leveraging his extensive expertise in aviation and other technical skills.

Before this, he worked as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer at Honeywell for over 18 years, honing his skills in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Prior to joining Honeywell, Syed was a Senior Quality Engineer at Nordson Measurement & Control Solutions (NDC Infrared Engineering) in Irwindale, CA, where he worked for a year. He began his career as the Director of Quality at Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing Inc, a role he held for 13 years, further developing his proficiency in failure analysis and quality assurance in aviation and other industries. With a robust background in quality engineering and a commitment to excellence, Syed continues to drive quality improvements and ensure high standards in his current position.

Managing Engineering teams in leading semiconductors, Lidar Sensors, and Systems companies for over 25 years, most notably VLSI Tech, Phillips Semi, NXP, Cruise/GM, OmniVision, Atmel, Lattice Semi and currently leading Functional Safety and Cyber Security teams as a Director of Automotive Safety at Marvell Semi. Co-Founder of startup Cookedtoday. Currently engaged in helping several Pakistani based startup companies through National Incubator Centers (NIC). Telha H. Rehman
Horticulture and Agronomy Specialist

Telha H. Rehman holds a PhD in Horticulture and Agronomy from UC Davis. Her dissertation, titled “Improving Nitrogen Management in California Rice Systems: A Synergy Between Remote Sensing Technology and Fundamental Agronomy,” explores innovative approaches to enhance nitrogen management practices.

Currently, Telha is a Staff Research Associate at UC Davis, where her research focuses on alternative water management techniques aimed at mitigating greenhouse gas emissions from rice systems while maintaining high yields. Her work integrates cutting-edge remote sensing technology with foundational agronomic principles to develop sustainable agricultural practices.

Shazeen
Boeing Engineer, Educator, and Interfaith Advocate

Shazeen is a seasoned Computer Engineer at Boeing and a tenured Computer Science professor. For the past decade, she has been an active speaker for the Muslim Speakers Network, a program of the Shura Council of Southern California, engaging in interfaith dialogues and educating non-Muslims about Islam at various venues.

She served on the board of the Islamic Society of Orange County (ISOC) in Garden Grove for four years, working closely with Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, and currently leads ISOC’s New Muslim program, guiding numerous individuals through their Shahadah and helping them integrate into the Muslim community. Shazeen also serves as a Hajj guide for overseas Pakistani pilgrims and is a dedicated board member and presenter for Saba Homes. She frequently presents on Artificial Intelligence and other technology topics at conferences, with her next presentation scheduled for June 26th at the Long Beach Convention Center. Additionally, she contributed as a judge for the United States Congress App Challenge, collaborating with Congressman Lou Correa.

Mohammad Anwar Khan

I am Mohammad Anwar Khan, an entrepreneur and fintech expert with 40 years of experience, driven by a passion for innovation and economic growth. Based in Silicon Valley, I have spent my career pioneering digital payments, founding ViVOtech,

where we developed NFC mobile and contactless card payment solutions now used by over 2 billion people worldwide through services like Apple Pay and Google Pay. With more than 50 patents, my work has been embraced by industry leaders including MasterCard, Visa, Google, Apple, Samsung and others.

Before ViVOtech, I played a key role at Verifone, joined as a founding member, helping the company expand to 96 countries. I later co-founded Omnyway, collaborated with PayPal on innovative payment solutions, and for the last three years, I served on the board of Armada Acquisition Corporation, facilitating Rezolve AI Limited’s Nasdaq listing at $1.6bn. Recently, I have been focused on promoting Pakistan’s economic growth as the founder and president of Pak Angels, and Vice Chairperson of Aspire Pakistan, empowering early-stage (pre-seed) startups and advancing generative AI to thousands of our youth and professionals in Pakistan. Nomaan Aleem Mufti, PhD
A Committed Academic & Philanthropist

Nomaan Aleem Mufti is a philanthropist, an academic, an entrepreneur, and a professional engineer. Nomaan has an exceptional drive to serve the country of his birth, Pakistan, for the growth of its economy and for helping people to stand on their feet.

He has founded the nonprofit Industrial Partnership Projects to support poor students to start manufacturing related businesses in Pakistan. He currently is leading Akhuwat USA as President. He has also founded a startup Green Electric Bikes in Pakistan for manufacturing battery driven motorcycles.

Nomaan began his career as a lecturer in 1990 at the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore. He is still teaching at the University of Texas Arlington as an Associate Professor.

Idris Kothari
Senior Execitive

Idris Kothari is an innovative Senior Executive and seasoned serial entrepreneur with more than 30 years of success across the technology, semiconductor, hardware, Blockchain, Cybersecurity software, and mobile application industries.

Leveraging extensive experience founding multiple hi-tech startups and conceiving new market-defining technologies, he is a valuable asset for tech companies struggling to find direction or in need of expert guidance in new product development. His broad areas of expertise include software development, startups, international business, cloud computing, product management, venture capital, Agile methodologies, and web services. Throughout his executive career, Idris has held leadership positions at tech companies including Vasona Systems International LLC, Vertical Systems Inc., VPNet Technologies (Avaya), and VIA Technologies, Inc. As Co-Founder of Via Technologies, he helped lead one of the first fabless semiconductor companies. He then co-founded VPNet Technologies, the first company to build Virtual Private Network hardware accelerator systems. Idris holds an MS in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology in Pakistan.

Touseef Ahmad Qureshi
Senior Research Scientist

ouseef Ahmad Qureshi is a senior research scientist and assistant professor at the Biomedical Imaging Research Institute of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He also holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)

Dr. Qureshi earned his doctorate in medical imaging and cancer diagnosis from the University of Lincoln in London, UK, and completed his post-doctoral training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA. With extensive experience in cancer diagnosis and prediction, he is currently leading multiple NIH-funded projects focused on cancer prediction in collaboration with several medical centers and universities across the United States, including MD Anderson Cancer Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, the University of Michigan, and the University of Southern California.
Dr. Qureshi has developed several innovative models for cancer prediction, including the first system designed to predict pancreatic cancer by analyzing abdominal CT images three years before its onset. He has also been honored with an early career award by the Department of Defense, United States Army for his groundbreaking research on predicting pancreatic cancer using data derived from patients’ eyes. With a robust background in mathematics and AI, and as the author of over 25 high-impact research articles, He has created various algorithms for disease diagnosis, staging, and treatment outcomes. Dr. Qureshi is an experienced teacher and has been recognized as a speaker at numerous international medical conferences. He is currently working on a comprehensive model that integrates imaging CT/MRI, genetic information, and blood-based biomarkers to predict pancreatic cancer ten years prior to its diagnosis, based on an individual’s age.
